The Hand in the Cover

Do you remember that old 1950s B Horror movie about a severed, creeping hand that a scientist brought back to life? And then he brought the dead severed head back to life, too. I watched that when I was a little boy by myself late on a Friday night and it scared me to death.

That’s one reason I’m excited that on the cover of my new book, Murder For Me, there’s a hand. The picture above enlarges it a little.

The hand on the cover symbolizes many things in the book, and it gives readers a feeling of what it’s about. The book will be available on Amazon July 4.

Here’s another hand I found. I like what this hand communicates, too.

While my wife, Melinda, and I were in Breckenridge, Colorado, this last weekend, we videoed this YouTube about my cover release. http://youtu.be/xkn5-mfrdOU. It has 74 hits in the three days it’s been up, so I’m pretty happy about it.

O.C. GOT HOODOOED
I’ve heard from many of you that you’ve tried to get my short story, but been unable to. We’re having some problems with it, but I hope it’s working better this weekend.

The Book
We received the final proof copy this week, and naturally I had some additional changes. It should be turned in by Monday and available July 4.

This is a picture of me with my mother, Maurine Little, and my niece, Kaitlin Johnson. My mother is who I write for. I finished this book and she read it four times before she died last year. I wish she could have been there in person for the book launch.
