Smashing Passenger’s Space

@seattletimes: On the plane, do you recline? https://t.co/LqSEMXtbKG https://t.co/5q4DKClqkO

Do you lean back? I used to, when I was younger and ruder. I’m a short guy, and sitting in those cramped little boxes called seats on long plane rides is a leg cramping claustrophobic experience. I appreciate how much worse it is for taller passengers.

When we flew back from Istanbul, we were on the plane for about seventeen hours. It was half full when we loaded, so after we took off passengers switched seats so this was not a problem. Everyone was obviously worried about it.

The only time I will lean is after permission from the person behind me. I’m not nice. I just remember how I feel when someone in front of me smashes my cubicle area down without asking.
