This morning in Houston, Texas, the day was clear and beautiful. The temperature was about 50 degrees, a little cool for us but a perfect day for a 50 mile bike ride.
I live downtown, so today’s ride took me along the renovated Buffalo Bayou and through Memorial Park. While I was on my ride I came across the new Lee & Joe Jamail Skatepark at 103 Sabine Street. I ride this way all the time, but I think it just opened. The crowd was buzzing, and full of skaters, so I had to stop to watch.

It was packed with skaters this morning and provided great people watching. In fact, hanging out there was insight into a world I don’t get to live in. Young. Hip. Skater.
I rode around the park and came across a new band area that was being used for a private boot camp this morning.

Out in front of the park was a food truck. I like to promote local–local beer, local businesses. So I wanted to post a picture of their truck. It was a great lunch and break on my ride.
Great food truck.
The Churrasco Twitter page is @ChurrascoTruck so you can find their location. It was a great ride this morning. I hope your Saturday morning was as pleasant.
