I practice law, and I was scheduled to be in a mediation with my client, the opposing attorney and her client, an amicus, and the mediator. We were all to meet at the mediator’s office, but when we arrived I was told by the mediator’s staff that she was stuck at court. I wasn’t happy. Our case was important, and the time had been scheduled for months.
Late, our mediator was rushing back to her car from the courthouse when she witnessed this accident. She was pale, sweaty and shaking. She sat in her office and described it to us, and it took much of the fire out of us.
I’m glad the police officer wasn’t physically injured, but it’s such a sad, sad story. I wanted to share it with you.
