2013, I finished my first full marathon at the Chevron Houston Marathon. My son, David, ran the last four miles with me to help me finish. I was so tired, wet, and cold that I couldn’t have done it without him.

The wind was so strong that when we turned downtown, if you jumped up, the wind would carry you a little bit. Of course, I was too tired to try it much.
