This is Sunday at Discovery Green Park in Houston. Preparation for the Final Four started with building the band stage and the base for the Ferris Wheel.

By Monday afternoon in the picture below, you can see:

1. The band stage and what looks like huge speakers

up along with the light tower.

2. The Ferris Wheel is partly up. It snaps together
like building blocks.

3. Skeletal structures for other facilities are up.

Also, blimps are already flying, flags of the teams are already hanging, and billboards are going up on the side of buildings downtown.

This week, I’ll try to post the progress of preparations for this weekend. Houston is hosting the Final Four. Discovery Green Park is the center of the festivities, hosting the Final Four Fan Fest and concerts including Pitbull and Maroon 5.

It’s going to be a hell of a weekend!
