My book, Murder For Me, is coming out next year. As I struggle with rollouts and the horror of public critics, I’ve worried about reviews. Not just the quality, but how many are needed.
Just in time, Amazon shook the world with its revised review policy. An article on it appeared today at the Chicago Tribune:

On Amazon.com, Customer Reviews Guidelines Frequently Asked Questions from Authors says that they don’t allow individuals who share a household with the author or close friends to write Customer Reviews for that author’s book.
This makes the business of publishing your first book much more complicated for any new author. I haven’t quite figured it out yet. If you have, please let me know in the comment section.
